Lorraine joined the staff of Berkshire Veterinary Hospital in 1973. She was present at its birth and if our hospital had a "mom", it would have to be Lorraine.
From its start, Lorraine took an active role in the client relations' part of our practice. She was the front-line person that made certain our clients received the best we could offer. She has always had the ability to understand a person's needs and to do her best to help them.
Lorraine led the charge when we moved from our small office in Coltsville to our new facility at 730 1/2 Crane Avenue. She was involved with the many decorating decisions that were necessary to complete our new hospital and took great pride in its completion. Heading up the front desk was her dream. The picture above was taken in 1982, and it speaks for itself. She gave her best everyday, and she set an example for the staff members that were to follow. Without question her efforts played an important part in the success of our hospital. She has been a good teacher and friend to the many receptionist, technicians, and doctors that have been a part of Berkshire Veterinary Hospital.
Over the years Lorraine has had a number of pets, but her Boxers and Great Danes were clear favorites. You can bet that if there is a Boxer or Great Dane in the hospital Lorraine will add even more TLC to their treatment regimen.
