Jim Boland

After a 17 year manufacturing career at the Schweitzer Paper Company in Lee, the mill closed and Jim decided it was an opportunity to make a career change. He enrolled at Berkshire Community College and completed the Animal Care Program, including a 300 hour internship at an animal care facility.

He received his certificate in December 2009 and after gaining some experience in the field, joined the staff of Berkshire Veterinary Hospital in the fall of 2010.

Jim also served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard for 20 years, retiring with the ranik of Staff-Sargent.

It is easy to tell that Jim enjoys his new career. We are pleased to have him on staff. His responsibilities include assisting the Veterinarians and the Veterinary Technicians with patient care.
