Dr. Hilton joined the staff of Berkshire Veterinary Hospital after graduating from The Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008.

Dr. Hilton's home town is Detroit, Michigan. He and his younger brother and sister grew up with a wide variety of pets. He enjoyed all the animals but his favorite childhood pet was their German Shepherd, and Dr. Hilton continues to be very fond of the German Shepherd breed. His first experience with veterinary medicine was as a veterinary assistant during his junior year of high school. It didn't take him long to realize that he enjoyed the many aspects of the veterinary professon. He not only enjoyed the daily interaction with patients, he also found the client interaction a fullfilling part of each day. He knew this was the profession he wanted to pursue. Dr. Hilton continued to work as a veterinary assistant as he finished high school and pursued his Bachelor of Science Degree at Wayne State University in Detroit.

While earning his undergraduate degree, Dr. Hilton also pursued one of his other passions, baseball. As an avid baseball fan and player, he attended Wayne State University on a baseball scholarship, playing four years of NCAA athletics as a catcher. It was after he graduated with a biological sciences degree with university honors and a specialization in biophysics, that he continued his dream of becoming a veterinarian by attending veterinary college at Cornell University.

Dr. Hilton's fiance is Elisa Mark. She is currently a senior veterinary student at Cornell University. Elisa will be joining the staff of Berkshire Veterinary Hospital upon graduation.

Dr. Hilton's special interests in veterinary medicine are dermatology and orthopedic surgery.
